Quin Cheung
Quin's journey into clay began in the year 1999 when she took her first wheel throwing pottery class. It was love at first turn. Pottery, however, took a backseat when Quin, along with her husband Dave, quickly found success with their international wedding photography business, DQ Studios, that had them shooting weddings and teaching photography around the world - everywhere from India, Thailand, Spain, Caribbean, Argentina, Germany, Mexico, Colombia, Peru and all over North America. More than 15 years later, Quin is making space to share her love of pottery again.
Quin's work is available in small batches as each piece is carefully thrown, trimmed, glazed and fired with love. Her passion is to create beautiful and functional vessels that are a pleasure to hold, and fill not only bellies, but hearts with love. Each piece is stamped with her logo and the verse that grounds her practice everyday:
"So whether you eat, drink or anything you do, do it all for the glory of God." - 1 Cor 10:31.
With each purchase made Quin is committed to giving back to missions close to her heart. In 2006 she travelled to Niger, Africa to help with health clinics, teach about sanitation, and hand out mosquito nets to prevent the spread of disease. So touched by the massive need and work being done by the international workers, Quin remains dedicated to supporting this cause; specifically educating and feeding school kids along with providing vocational training to young women at risk.
