Barbara has always been drawn to figures. Inspired by nature and humanity there is an interdependent relationship from which she draws her inspiration. Her depiction of the female form captures a fleeting moment, immersing the viewer in a timeless world, to engage their emotions, stimulate memories and build connections. Abstract painting has become an enhanced form of expression which moves well beyond the traditional brush. The artwork is brought to life incorporating non traditional tools and methods. For Shore, painting has become an unconscious process of emotional expression.

Barbara resides in and has her studio in St Albert Alberta. She is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a certificate in Fine Arts. She has exhibited in shows in Alberta, British Columbia and U.S.A. She has participated in various artists residencies and self directed residencies in Canada and Ireland.
