Alyson Davies is a visual artist based in Edmonton, Alberta, working in painting and ceramics. 
Her interdisciplinary practice explores the relationship between the human figure and the natural world, often centering women within imagined, remembered, and observed landscapes. Drawing from personal experience, art history, and environmental awareness, her work reflects on resilience, embodiment, and the shifting conditions of life within the climate crisis.
Davies’ paintings are characterized by luminous colour, gestural mark-making, and figures that appear both grounded in and inseparable from their environments. Women in her paintings are not passive subjects but active presences, navigating, enduring, and reshaping the landscapes they inhabit. Her recent projects explore connections between ecological instability and the lived realities of women, drawing parallels between environmental extraction and the pressures placed on bodies.
Davies is also the creator of several widely distributed tarot and oracle decks, including the Blue Earth Tarot, Earth Child Tarot, and Field of Stars Oracle. These works extend her visual language into accessible, interactive formats, inviting users into personal and intuitive engagement with her imagery.
Her work has been exhibited in galleries and artist-run centers, and she has participated in 
residencies across Canada and the USA.
Through her practice, Davies seeks to create images that hold space for complexity, where 
beauty, tension, and transformation coexist, inviting viewers into a deeper relationship with both the natural world and themselves.
